Award winning Destin Commons continues to set the standard as Northwest Florida’s premier open-air lifestyle center offering shopping, dining and entertainment. Serving both residents and a tourist population of over six million annual visitors to the region, Destin Commons has seen millions of shoppers at the center since its opening. The 56-acre architecturally unique center has garnered a regional reputation for its well-known retail tenants and on-going community events. Live entertainment, signature events, and non-profit groups are regular features in the pedestrian friendly Center Plaza, and along Main Street. Destin Commons is “Where Destin Comes Alive”.

An outdoor interactive pop fountain is centrally located at Destin Commons. The 49-head fountain system dances from the ground and offers kids a refreshing way to cool off during hot summer months. Destin Commons also features a nautically themed outdoor playground. The large soft play area is adorned with colourful creatures from the sea including a dolphin, starfish, boat, alligator, crab and turtle. In keeping with the oceanic theme, the play area also offers a lighthouse, boat, and sandcastle.

The DC Kids Club hosts monthly activities, ranging from storytime and singing, to interactive art projects. In addition, Destin Commons hosts signature events throughout the year, tailored toward children and families. Events include: Mardi Gras Masquerade, Destin Green Fest, July 4th Fireworks Spectacular, Halloween Costume Festival, and Santa’s Arrival.

A real miniature train operates daily taking kids and their parents up and down Main Street, for a $3 fare. Families can ride the train through the center, simply enjoy its charm.
